Sutton United Supporters’ Trust began life on the 16th March 2006 with an open meeting held in the Times Square Lounge at Sutton United FC, when the assembled supporters’ voted unanimously to form a Supporters’ Trust at the club. An initial working party then set about taking the trust to it’s full formation and launch, which took place on Sunday 27th August 2006.

The aims of the Trust are primarily:

1) To acquire shares in SUFC Ltd in the name of the Trust
2) To provide a democratic voice for supporters in the running of SUFC
3) To promote SUFC within the local and surrounding communities
4) To consolidate existing fundraising opportunities with new ideas in an attempt to attract extra funds into SUFC

Since that evening in March, the working party has grown and an acting Board has been put in place to help drive the different aspects of the trust to it’s launch in August. And now that launch has been achieved, this page will carry details on the history of SUST.
